Our client is an inventive, growing pharmaceutical company located in the South of Limburg who employs a team of young, driven and inspiring professionals. Operating in a GMP environment, the company works with European and US-based biotechnology companies on breaking clinical development projects.

Functie

As a Biochemical Technician you will work in a young, motivated team of professionals on projects. The projects are related to the production of cell therapy products. You will carry out the manufacturing production of cell therapy products of autologous and allogeneic cell products in accordance to GMP conditions, in a cleanroom environment. As a Biochemical Technician, you can make an important contribution to the innovative field of cell therapy for a number of (inter)national clients.

It is important to have affinity with GMP guidelines and you like working in a quality-oriented environment. Experience with standard cell culturing techniques and analytical procedures (cell counting, viability, sterility sampling etc.) is needed. You are pro-active and a real team player. A willingness to work flexible hours when required is a must.

Tasks:

  • Execution of pharmaceutical cell culture processes (large and small) and other related procedures (sample preparation, sample shipping, media preparation, tool box preparation, ordering procedure, assist with logistics activities)
  • Maintaining systematic documentation in line with GMP (e.g. filling out batch records, writing reports)
  • Support in performing facility and equipment duties (support in environmental monitoring of facility, trouble shooting, equipment, room clearance/cleaning)

Job requirements

  • Bachelor or Master degree with focus on biotechnology, bioprocessing, cell biology, or human cell culturing techniques (stem cells, primary cells or tissue culture)
  • Tissue or cell culture experience in a lab or GMP environment (in an industrial environment would be a plus)
  • Excellent communicational skills in English (verbal and written)
  • Experienced in working with standard MS Office software
