At the Shimano Experience Center visitors can share their love for cycling, fishing and rowing – Shimano’s three core passions – and get involved in these exciting sports in a fun way. Shimano takes its visitors on a journey of social and product experience moments and engages them in a fusion of interaction and function. Each area represents a sensorial experience, encouraging guests to move, feel and live the Shimano moment! Our hosts play a fundamental role in achieving this ambitious customer experience. They are the ultimate guides on the Shimano Experience journey by sparking visitor’s interest and providing customers with a wealth of information on (displayed) products and via product presentations and the sale of a selected product range of bike and fishing related goods. Furthermore the Shimano Experience Center offers its daily visitors a food and beverage assortment in the Fanstore and in the Amstel Gold Race area that is part of the Experience Center. In the Shimano Event Center we host companies or other groups that have their meetings, events or other occasions in this part of our Center. The host plays a fundamental role in achieving this ambitious customer experience. He/she is the ultimate guides on the Shimano Experience journey by sparking visitor’s interest and providing customers with a wealth of information on (displayed) products and via product presentations and the sale of a selected product range of bike and fishing related goods.

The Challenge

• Demonstrate and provide information on promoted products/services.
• Sales driven, sell the EC-assortment to the visitors
• Communicate and interact with visitors (B2B and B2C) as representative of Shimano
• Create a positive image and engage people around our brand.
• Set up & operate booths or promotional stands.
• Support with and participate in the execution of an Event
• Be a member of our hospitality team that takes care of our visitors needs regarding food & beverages on a daily basis and during specific events.

What are we looking for?

• Enthusiasm and passion for Shimano's bike, fishing and rowing products.
• Work experience as host, promotor or sales.
• Team player with excellent visitor focused social skills.
• Excellent communication skills (listening & presenting).
• Ability to understand customer needs and handle different types of personalities.
• Good knowledge of Dutch, English and preferably other common European languages.
• Flexible available (we will be open for 7 days a week, also in the evenings)
