Functie
Responsibilities:
- Overall responsibility for optimizing operations of the raw materials area, OCC plant, ETP, and paper machine
- Ensure development and implementation of manufacturing systems, including use of sustainability tools such as Trouble/Cause/Correction (TCC) and Centerlining
- Participate in the development of the budget, strategic and capital planning processes
- Clearly communicate and demonstrate quality principles and processes
- Take initiative to pro-actively deal with issues both with the team and cross-functionally, ensuring communication flows throughout the organization
- Internal and external customer requirements
- Develops, maintains, and uses sustainable methods for all processes and their improvements
- Maintains and develops team relationships
- Lead development of new products in alignment with manufacturing and business leaders
- Coordinate corporate technology subject matter expert visits and projects
- Lead efforts to fully optimize equipment installed in mill conversion
- Works with the quality department and manufacturing teams to investigate customer complaints and recommend effective solution
- Supervise Lab testing, SPC Coordinator and Process Engineers
- Support other Managers for OCC plant and Papermachine as situations demand
Functie-eisen
You have:
- Bachelor´s Degree in Science, Engineering or Pulp and Paper Science.
- Proficient level of English and Spanish, or the willingness to learn Spanish.
- Minimum of 8 years experience in a high speed, modern containerboard mill, including manufacturing leadership roles
- Experience developing and implementing improvement plans
