Functie

Responsibilities:

• Overall responsibility for optimizing operations of the raw materials area, OCC plant, ETP, and paper machine
• Ensure development and implementation of manufacturing systems, including use of sustainability tools such as Trouble/Cause/Correction (TCC) and Centerlining
• Participate in the development of the budget, strategic and capital planning processes
• Clearly communicate and demonstrate quality principles and processes
• Take initiative to pro-actively deal with issues both with the team and cross-functionally, ensuring communication flows throughout the organization
• Internal and external customer requirements
• Develops, maintains, and uses sustainable methods for all processes and their improvements
• Maintains and develops team relationships
• Lead development of new products in alignment with manufacturing and business leaders
• Coordinate corporate technology subject matter expert visits and projects
• Lead efforts to fully optimize equipment installed in mill conversion
• Works with the quality department and manufacturing teams to investigate customer complaints and recommend effective solution
• Supervise Lab testing, SPC Coordinator and Process Engineers
• Support other Managers for OCC plant and Papermachine as situations demand

Functie-eisen

You have:

• Bachelor´s Degree in Science, Engineering or Pulp and Paper Science.
• Proficient level of English and Spanish, or the willingness to learn Spanish.
• Minimum of 8 years experience in a high speed, modern containerboard mill, including manufacturing leadership roles
• Experience developing and implementing improvement plans
