PathoFinder is seeking a motivated Channel Sales Officer to join our team and help expand our reach!

As a Channel Sales Officer, you will support the Sales Manager in maintaining and developing a strong, efficient distributor network across international markets. You will be responsible for executing day-to-day operational tasks, onboarding and evaluation of distributors, managing communications, and ensuring timely support and service delivery. This role offers a hands-on opportunity to gain experience in commercial operations within the molecular diagnostics field while contributing to company growth and customer satisfaction.

You will work according to an ISO 13485-certified quality management system. In addition, you will contribute to building a culture of business excellence and transparent communications.

PathoFinder, founded in 2004, is a molecular diagnostics scale-up company based in Maastricht. The company develops and commercializes innovative molecular diagnostic tests for comprehensive detection of a wide variety of infectious disease pathogens, including SARS-CoV-2. PathoFinder's proprietary 2SmartFinder® technology enables the detection and differentiation of up to 24 viral, bacterial, fungal and parasitic pathogens in a single assay.

PathoNostics is our fungal diagnostics brand for the development and manufacturing of real-time PCR assays. Our aim is to rapidly detect disease-causing fungus and simultaneously identify antifungal resistance, allowing clinicians to initiate a dedicated and timely therapy and save on costs and lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the distributor accounts, ensuring effective communication and support.
  • Develop and maintain long-term relationships with distributors (and customers).
  • Coordinate with distributors to ensure timely and successful delivery of products.
  • Maintain and organize distributor documentation and communication records.
  • Monitor distributor performance and provide regular feedback and support.
  • Analyse sales data to identify trends and opportunities for growth.
  • Prepare quotations, price lists etc.
  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with distributors to maximize business.
  • Resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Keep the CRM system updated with accurate and current information.
  • Communicate product value and understand distributor needs.
  • Participate in organizing professional organizations, conferences and exhibitions.
  • Work closely with the finance team to manage distributor billing and payments.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Compile monthly distributor sales performance reports and forecasts.
  • This is an office-based role, reporting to the Sales Manager

Skills and Requirements:

  • BSc or MSc in Life Sciences, Molecular Biology, Biomedical Sciences, International Business, or related discipline.
  • 2-5 years of relevant experience in customer service, commercial operations, or distributor support.
  • Experience in the diagnostics or life sciences industry is a plus.
  • Knowledge of CRM systems (Salesforce or similar) is an advantage.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Fluency in English and Dutch (plus).
