The function
The Logistics Specialist is part of Parts Logistics Services and reports directly to the Manager or the project lead.
The Logistics Specialist is responsible for supporting work packages or projects within Aftersales Logistics (GSP/OD).
The job includes responsibility for overall support in project management within After Sales logistics. The Logistics Specialist works in the Roll Out Factory Team and supports or steers defined work packages.
Being part of the GSP/O organization, the Logistics Specialist will have to, represent the Roll Out Factory team, cooperate within an international/global project environment, and align with a large variety of stakeholders within the Mercedes–Benz organization, the markets and involved third parties.
Task and Responsibilities
- Support and/or steer work packages/scrum teams within the project
- Support Senior Rollout Managers
- Align and support within the project organization
- Tracks and proposes changes in project scope and schedule in a structured and consistent way
- Manage interdependencies/cross-functional topics with other teams within the project/ scrum teams
- Work on continuous improvements, efficient approach and ensure constructive and well-prepared escalation to management when required
- Contribute to process enhancements and developments
- Establish and manage relationships with all project stakeholders (internal & external)
- Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation & administration
- Track project team performance using appropriate systems, tools, and techniques within the applied project methodology
- Gather legal/fiscal requirements from key users and report to the development team (?)
- Actively participate in solution implementation and design process
- Come up with workarounds and actively seek for the improvements
- Ensure that all of the necessary documentation is available, accurate, completed and saved
- Prepare documentation for self-training for key users on the new system in the form of workshops or 'online 'tutorials'
- Support and test new developments, features, etc
- Analyze the business requirements of the customers
Requirements
- Experience in Warehouse, long-term experience in the field of logistics wholesale operations
- Knowledge of automotive parts supply chain logistics
- Experience in project management & time management (software, tools & methodologies) is a plus
- Stakeholder management skills
- Analytical/technical/functional skills and problem-solving ability
- Target-oriented, achieve results in complex situations
- Good Communication skills and high intercultural competence
- Team player with self-steered working skills
- Ability to interact with a large variety of stakeholders
- Advanced time management and analytical skills
- Able to create innovative solutions to problems
- Solid organizational skills incl. attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; German is a plus
- Ability to work remotely, and with remote/global teams
- Extensive knowledge of Microsoft tools (i.e. excel, PowerPoint, Visio, share point, teams) – Safe Agile Methodology basic/advanced knowledge is a plus
- High Flexibility
- Willingness to travel
