The organisation

The Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center in Maastricht is an international multicultural organization and an integrated part of Mercedes-Benz Cars Marketing & Sales. In our offices in Maastricht, we think and act globally and assume a leading role for the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Centers all over the world. Our goal is to provide excellent assistance to our customers and dealers of well-known brands like Mercedes-Benz, AMG, smart, and Mercedes me. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, we ensure our customers’ mobility with our roadside assistance. Additionally, we take care of all kinds of inquiries about passenger cars, and vans during our opening hours. For our customers, we are maybe the most important connection to the Mercedes-Benz brand. That’s why we live the brand’s most important promise: “The best or nothing”.

The function

Do you have a passion for Change Management and an extensive experience in leading an organization toward the target picture? The Senior Change Manager is a member of the Project Management & Digitalization team and manages the people side of change by translating our Customer Contact Center strategy into change stories. In this role, you work closely together with the Project Management Office, Epic Owners/Project Managers, Management Board and EMT. As Senior Change Manager, you are responsible for defining, coordinating, and executing the change toward our target picture in cooperation with the Management Board and act as a sparring partner for Projects Managers.

This includes the following tasks and responsibilities:

Change Management:

  • Define change management methodologies, standards and templates and assure its implementation
  • Establish a change story and concept on the basis of our target picture
  • Support teams to define their individual target picture and to implement all measures for their individual change journey
  • Establish a common set of change management tools
  • Develop high-level master schedule and track milestones
  • Reporting on overall change program: track program progress, initiative work-plans, issue status reports
  • Manage and facilitate issue resolution
  • Provide regular input for leadership alignment on schedules and milestones, project interdependencies, risk and issue identification
  • Align with other projects to understand their change activities (incl. stakeholder) and incorporate these into overall change activities
  • Share best practices
  • Identify relevant stakeholders

Communication:

  • Creation of required program communication strategy and cross-initiative activities and dependencies
  • Set up and introduce change story to relevant stakeholders
  • Generation of communication strategy and matrix
  • Assist in communication planning across interdependent initiatives and CCC projects
  • Perform stakeholder assessment and analysis on program level and create and execute program communication plan and packages
  • Accountable for continuous program communication strategy and up-to-date communication plans
  • Collect and evaluate feedback from stakeholders (expectations, concerns, likes, …)
  • Create success stories

Requirements

Who are you?

  • Bachelor or Master’s degree: Change Management, Communications, Public Relationship, or other relevant degrees.
  • 5+ years of working experience in organizational change projects, preferably in an international, multicultural environment
  • Fluent or fluent in English
  • Positive attitude
  • Successful, proven track record with creating and executing change management strategies
  • Solid understanding of how people go through change and the change process; knowledge of change management principles
  • Strategic and tactical thinking, with focused attention to details and the ability to prioritize tasks, work independently and provide results against tight deadlines
  • Ability to clearly articulate messages to different stakeholders and translate complex information into clear messages
  • Excellent communication, influencing, and organization skills supported by strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
  • Familiarity with agile ways of working, project management approaches, tools, and phases of project lifecycles
  • High-level working knowledge of PowerPoint, excellent written communication skills
  • Strong partnership and collaboration skills, with emphasis on building rapport and effective relationships
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Flexibility to adjust own working hours to the business needs
  • Must be a team player and able to establish and maintain strong relationships
  • Confidence in driving initiatives with a various landscape of stakeholders also on executive level
