The Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center is an international multicultural organization and an integrated part of Mercedes-Benz Cars Marketing & Sales. Our goal is to provide excellent assistance to our customers and dealers of well-known brands like Mercedes-Benz, AMG and Mercedes me. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, we ensure our customers’ mobility with our roadside assistance. Additionally, we take care of all kinds of enquiries about passenger cars and vans during our opening hours. For our customers we are maybe the most important connection to the Mercedes-Benz brand. The function

The department GSP/Warranty deparment is responsible for the worldwide warranty and goodwill business for Mercedes-Benz passenger cars including Maybach and smart as well as VAN. We are located in Maastricht (Netherlands), Offenbach (Germany) and Böblingen (Germany). Our main target is to ensure a professional warranty and goodwill process is in place and operated by our Retail Network, to maintain the high levels of customer service we expect for our customers and also ensuring adequate compensation is offered. Repair Packages are important in this context to increase efficiency at retail and to reduce Warranty & Goodwill costs.

The Repair Package Specialist creates repair packages for simple and complex repairs for Mercedes-Benz worldwide. The responsible Specialist modifies and updates existing repair packages and sets up upper limits for each repair package in form of system parameters, which are used in warranty claims assessment.

Repair packages are available for all retailers worldwide via XENTRY Portal (Xentry Order, Xentry Workshop, Xentry Repair Packages, iParts) and can be used by each retailer at nearly each step of the entire workshop process.

Tasks & Responsibilities:

  • Creation of new repair packages for easy and complex repairs, for high Warranty &Goodwill cost and high priority topics
  • Content review and approval of automatically generated repair packages
  • Update of repair packages in case specifications or positions changed
  • Correct or amend repair packages based on market feedback
  • Provide appropriate answers to markets’ feedback
  • Setting upper limits for each repair package to be used in warranty applications for warranty claims selection and assessment
  • Create repair packages based on published repair documents and other necessary MB requirements
  • Avoid unjustified warranty and goodwill costs
  • Increase efficiency of repair packages usage at dealers worldwide
  • Communicate, when necessary, with the technical departments GSP/TP etc. to align on repair package content
  • Communicate, when necessary, with the departments (GSP/BW, GSP/O, MPCs/MOCs etc.) to gain clarification of technical details
  • Report relevant key performance indicators frequently

Requirements

  • Educational background as passenger car/ VAN mechanic, service advisor and/or degreed engineer
  • Experience within a Mercedes-Benz workshop for minimum 3 years is preferred
  • Good knowledge of Mercedes-Benz products
  • Good knowledge of Mercedes-Benz workshop processes
  • Good knowledge of Mercedes-Benz applications required (for example ASRA, EPC, EVA, TIPS, VEGA, WIS, iParts, XENTRY…)
  • Good knowledge of Mercedes-Benz warranty and goodwill processes
  • Good knowledge of the Daimler guidelines and their applications ( for example eWS and WMW) preferred
  • Fluent verbal and written communication in German and English
  • Good knowledge of automotive terms
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
  • Customer orientated
  • Good communication skills
  • Interpersonal skills and team-minded thinking
  • Stress resistant
  • Proactively seeks to improve processes
