Employees act as brand representatives ensuring that customers receive personal assistance in their own language at a consistently high level.
Our Customer Service departments answer customer enquiries and complaints, while the Service24h department organizes roadside assistance for customers. Services related to customers mobility guarantee availability 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. The Retail Service department supports technical and product related competencies for CAC, Daimler and external parties.
Within the department “Global Contact Center Management”, the Product Owner Data Science is part of the team “Business Development & Digitalization”. The digitalization part of the team is responsible for developing a data & digitalization strategy and manages, develops and implements use cases within the Customer Assistance Center (CAC) or other global Customer Contact Centers (CCCs).
The Product Owner Data Science is responsible for the management and implementation of data science products for business improvement (e.g. cost efficiency, customer satisfaction, employee satisfaction). This includes the definition of a sustainable strategy that results into a roadmap and prioritization of use cases that bring high value to the company.
You will manage the development of the defined uses cases through the data engineer and data scientist and roll it out with the relevant stakeholders in the company. You act as an expert translator when it comes to data science knowledge and business needs. Regular alignment with the management board or also HQ boards belong to this position as well.
As a Product Owner Data Science, you will be working in a multicultural and dynamic environment. Together with a group of Data Scientists, Data Engineers and Interns, you will be driving Digital Transformation within the MB CAC landscape.
What are your tasks and responsibilities
• Management and implementation of Data Science products in CAC/CCC Operations for business improvement.
• Key role translating business needs into technical requirements.
• Project Lead of various Data Science projects incl. time management, communication management, risk management, stakeholder management and Project Updates in Project Management tool.
• Work closely together with the Data Scientists and Data Engineer to ensure a successful development.
• Supervision of Data Science interns/Junior Data Scientists.
• Develop the data science strategy together with the department manager.
• Keep him-/herself informed about relevant trends and industry developments in data science
• Stakeholder management includes regularly presenting solutions to management level at MB CAC or Daimler HQ.
• Cooperate with other teams as the Business Analyst Team to create synergies.
What will you bring?
• University degree/Academic level of working and thinking.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience, as a project lead in data science topics.
• In depth understanding of Data Science and Machine Learning concepts.
• Knowledgeable on Natural Language Processing.
• Knowledgeable on how Open Source Software can be used to develop Data Science Products.
• Understanding the concept of Data Warehousing.
• General understanding of programming languages as Python, R, and SQL.
• Result-driven, pro-active with strong self-management skills.
• Adaptive, flexible and open minded, actively contributing to innovation.
• Ability to work with different cultures, personalities and to communicate on different levels of the company.
• Motivated to develop professionally and willing to go the extra mile for the success of the team.
• Excellent English written and verbal communication skills
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Azure Cloud environment is a pre.
• Experience with Agile Project Management is a pre.
