The organisation

The Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center Maastricht with the Critical Parts & Supplier Management department is the global escalation entity for parts in the Mercedes-Benz supply chain. The supported entities consist of the Mercedes-Benz local headquarters, general distributors and logistic centers. Furthermore, the Logistic Specialist role is to liaise with internal and external partners for resolving complex issues.

The Logistic Specialist II acts within the Critical Parts and Supplier Management department with specialist tasks related to PRM and reports directly to the Manager.

The function

What is your role?

For Phase 2 of the PRM project we are looking for a new Systems and PRM process Specialist in the field Order Management in the department “Critical Parts Management”. It will be part of an interdisciplinary non-operational team. The main tasks are to represent and support the department and our stakeholders in all things related to our systems, mainly Order Management processes in PRM. However, this not an IT, but rather a project and support function. In this context process and system affinity are required to represent and enforce the interests of the users. The person will be working close with two other colleagues within the PRM sub-team who support each other.

The exact tasks, can however, change depending on business need and profile.

Your tasks & responsibilities:

  • Update of relevant Master Data in PRM
  • Close collaboration and alignment with all applicable stakeholders internal and external
  • Training and Rollout support for new markets and functions
  • Conception and budgeting of improvements and new system features/ requirements
  • Coordination of changes in system responsibilities
  • Transparent reporting of achievements, capacity and results
  • Answer User related questions about CRM Topics in PRM and its issues
  • Administrative tasks related to PRM
  • Support the department in PRM related topics
  • Deputy to other PRM colleagues
  • Participate in general improvement projects

Requirements

  • University degree preferable with a business or SCM background /Academic level of thinking
  • Expert knowledge in CRM and preferably in order management processes
  • Understanding interdependences of different systems
  • Expert level in English and German written and spoken
  • You think critically and work solution oriented
  • You have the ability to view the big picture
  • Highly structured and self-organized
  • Knowledge of Mercedes-Benz logistic processes and systems
  • Strong stress management skills
  • Strongly oriented to Customer’s Satisfaction, both B2B and B2C
  • Experience in system administration is a plus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office: Power Point, Excel, Word (Access, PowerBI, SAP/BI is a Plus)
