The organisation

Test Engineer wanted for Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center. You can find us in Maastricht, the Netherlands; we are called the Compass Delivery Center (CDC). Compass, based on Oracle Siebel/Avaya/Genesys, is a high performing and scalable platform which is rapidly expanding in terms of functionality and global coverage for the aftersales CRM activities of Mercedes-Benz. Throughout the years we fine-tuned Compass and set it to our own standards.

The function

Job Requirements
You will be a part of a team of 10 members, a mix of direct colleagues and external consultants all working from Maastricht. Together with this incredible team you will share the responsibility for all of our test design, planning scripting and execution for a variety of customer and retail facing applications for all of Daimler vehicle divisions (trucks, busses, vans and passenger cars). Together you will face challenges such as:

• Serving customers on a worldwide scale;
• Monthly updates of Compass;
• Connected vehicles services integration;
• Mobile applications integration thru APIs;
• Supporting other worldwide Daimler entities with their quality assurance (QA).

Tasks
You will support our new strategic initiatives and further improve the core disciplines of our delivery center. To be successful in the execution of these challenges, your job will cover tasks such as:

• Assist us with designing, implementing and maintaining our test automation platform.
• Interact with test management, project management and development teams to develop a strong understanding of the projects and testing objectives.
• Design, create and execute automated test cases based on existing manual test cases.
• Provides detailed analysis of the results of all automated testing carried out on the environment ensuring all bugs, risks and issues are addressed correctly.
• Participate in troubleshooting and triaging of issues with different test teams to drive towards root cause identification and resolution.
• Implement and document new or enhanced processes, instruments, products and systems.

Requirements

Profile must-haves

• Certified in at least one testing methodology such as Tmap or ISTQB;
• Knowledge of minimal two modern programming/scripting languages;
• Experience with Test Automation;
• Willingness to participate in on-call/on-duty shift;
• A tester who knows how and when to use programming skills to solve complex testing challenges;
• In depth experience with:
  • Automated Test tooling such as Selenium, Tosca or similar;
  • Automated Test specification and execution;
  • Test reporting;
  • System, Functional and Acceptance testing.

Profile nice-to-haves

• Analytical, being able to think in solutions;
• Bachelor or Master Degree, with at least 2-3 years of experience as a Developer or Test Engineer;
• You are someone who sees challenges where other people see problems;
• Knowledge of the principles of Agile;
• Helpful & calm under pressure;
• Previous testing or development in Siebel is a plus.
