The organisation

Our home base is the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center Maastricht, which is the central point of contact in Europe for After-Sales, caring for the needs of current and prospective Mercedes-Benz customers. Beyond this responsibility, we also steer and further develop the global Customer Contact Centers (CCC) of Mercedes-Benz for After-Sales and Sales.

The function

Tasks and responsibilities

  • Full Stack Development: Design and develop a robust web server reporting platform using a Python framework.
  • Jira Integration: Implement seamless connectivity with our Jira system to pull and push data.
  • Work with our SAFe Release Train Engineer to establish the basic object model; understand the requirements using a working prototype that is already available in Excel.
  • Implement the model in Python
  • Establish the client side solution and connect to the back end, as a basis for the advanced reporting that relies on custom graphics.
  • Visual Reporting: Create highly visual and interactive dashboards and reports to track the progress of our Agile Release Train (ART).
  • Metrics and Projections: Develop tools to visualize team metrics, ART progress, projections, and identify impediments and risks.
  • Agile Release Train Dashboard: Build an intuitive dashboard that provides comprehensive insights into our agile release trains, enabling better decision-making and project tracking.

You will gain hands-on experience in the following areas:

  • Python Programming: Deepen their understanding of Python and its application in web development.
  • Web Frameworks: Gain practical experience with Python web frameworks (such as Django or Flask).
  • Agile Methodologies (SAFe): Learn about SAFe scaled agile framework and their implementation in a real-world setting, from SAFe experts.
  • Data Visualization: Develop skills in creating compelling data visualizations that drive business decisions.
  • Development Tools: Understand the integration of Development tools like Jira into custom applications.

Requirements

What do you bring?

  • You are studying for a bachelor or master’s degree in Information Technology or similar
  • Good communication skills
  • (basic) knowledge of Python and webserver development (HTML, Css, JavaScript)
  • Proficient in English, which is our corporate language
  • Analytical and design thinking
  • You have a natural curiosity
  • You are pro-active and self-motivated
  • Available 32-40 hours a week for a period of 3-9 months (depending on the assignment and university requirements)
We offer

This Internship is a full-time position requiring 40 working hours per week, starting preferably in September 2024.

We offer you an internship in a multicultural, dynamic, and informal international working environment. We offer a compensation of € 800,- gross, based on 40 hours per week.
