The organisation
Our home base is the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center Maastricht, which is the central point of contact in Europe for After-Sales, caring for the needs of current and prospective Mercedes-Benz customers. Beyond this responsibility, we also steer and further develop the global Customer Contact Centers (CCC) of Mercedes-Benz for After-Sales and Sales.
1400 employees from 42 different countries add diversity and enrich an organization dedicated to drive customer satisfaction and high performance. Employees act as brand representatives ensuring that customers receive personal assistance in their own language at a consistently high level.

This internship is in the IT department of the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center (CAC), which has grown from being the local IT Provider for the CAC to be the Global Service Provider for the core CRM application of Mercedes-Benz worldwide. In total, up to 20.000 dealers and 2700 call center agents worldwide make use of our applications.
The function
Tasks and responsibilities
- Join the day-to-day activities of the team you are working together with (e.g. team & department meetings, Agile events)
- Work on the given assignment, we have assignments in the areas of:
- Product ownership, support the Product owners of our agile teams in their day-to-day activities like Jira documentation, Agile team, and Release Train events, preparing the PO Squad meetings
- Data Engineering:
- Enhance our Data Vision, and explore how we can get most value out of data generated in our company. Define which data points are most relevant and which data quality aspects are important to focus on.
- Create a pragmatic model together with our Release train engineer on the data structures within our Agile Release train, with the aim to use it in a roadmap / prognosis model.
- Investigate AI and Data science possibilities and pre-requisites, and create an implementation plan for use cases defined based on our SAFe (agile) way of working. If time allows support the implementation as well.
- Service Operations, support our level 2 and level 3 service operations managers in their daily activities to support our IT solutions and work on implementing process improvement ideas.
Requirements

- You are studying for a bachelor or master’s degree in Information Technology or similar
- Good communication skills
- Proficient in English, which is our corporate language
- Analytical and design thinking
- You have a natural curiosity
- You are pro-active and self-motivated
- Available 32-40 hours a week for a period of 3-9 months (depending on the assignment and university requirements)

We offer
This Internship is a full-time position requiring 40 working hours per week, starting preferably in September 2023.
We offer you an internship in a multicultural, dynamic, and informal international working environment. We offer a compensation of € 800,- gross, based on 40 hours per week.
The internship needs to be a part of your study program, graduates are not allowed to apply.
