The organisation

The Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center is an international multicultural organization and an integrated part of Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz Cars Marketing & Sales. In our offices in Maastricht we think and act globally and assume a leading role for the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Centers all over the world. Our goal is to provide excellent assistance to our customers and dealers of well-known Daimler brands like Mercedes-Benz, AMG, smart, Setra and Mercedes me. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, we ensure our customers’ mobility with our roadside assistance. Additionally, we take care of all kinds of enquiries about passenger cars, trucks and vans during our opening hours. For our customers we are maybe the most important connection to the Mercedes-Benz brand. That’s why we live the brand’s most important promise: “The best or nothing”.

The function

The main goal of the internship is to support the Critical Parts Management department with process related topics. We are looking for an enthusiastic and open-minded person with strong interpersonal skills, job oriented and solution minded hands-on attitude. Within the “Critical Parts Management” department, the Intern will be part of the non-operational team. The focus of the role is to support the team in general organizational tasks, business projects, process documentation & adjustment, quality topics.

Tasks:

  • Taking part in daily business in the Critical Parts Management department
  • Cover organizational topics e.g. organizing and leading meetings, prepare meetings and workshops and send out communications
  • Support in ad-hoc tasks, e.g. Excel tasks in team management and logistics
  • Support in performing daily operational tasks in the team of Specialists
  • Support specialists in currently ongoing high-paced projects
  • Collaborate with the operational teams to ensure their work meets both the needs of our customers and our bar for quality (process & quality)
  • Support in identifying process gaps and initiate appropriate counter measures
  • Support in improvement and adjustment of the existing quality management setup
  • Generate process, project, reporting ideas for improvement

Requirements

  • You are fluent in English (German is a big plus)
  • You think critically and work solution oriented
  • You have solid communication skills, both verbal and in writing
  • You think outside the box and develop creative solutions
  • You are a team player
  • You have an analytical thinking
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Theoretical knowledge or a strong understanding about supply chain management is a plus
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote)
  • You are in your third year of Bachelor’s degree or doing your Masters degree, preferably studying International Business, Economics, Econometrics or Operations Research or Supply Chain Management.
