The organisation

The Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center is an international multicultural organization and an integrated part of Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz Cars Marketing & Sales. In our offices in Maastricht we think and act globally and assume a leading role for the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Centers all over the world. Our goal is to provide excellent assistance to our customers and dealers of well-known Daimler brands like Mercedes-Benz, AMG, smart, Setra and Mercedes me. 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, we ensure our customers’ mobility with our roadside assistance. Additionally, we take care of all kinds of enquiries about passenger cars, trucks and vans during our opening hours. For our customers we are maybe the most important connection to the Mercedes-Benz brand. That’s why we live the brand’s most important promise: “The best or nothing”.

The function

Function Description:

As an intern working within the Critical Parts Management department, you will be working in various fields of global bottleneck management. The exact focus and tasks will depend on your profile and the business requirements. Moreover, you will be able to bring forward your own ideas and initiatives.

Tasks:

  • Administrative support in project-related tasks (planning meetings, documentation of status and progress, workshop preparation, meeting minutes)
  • Actively support in optimizing processes within the department to achieve efficiency and quality gains
  • Market communication of global Aftersales topics
  • Create and update presentations (Style & content, tell a story)
  • Do research on various topics and present findings (e.g. methodologies, best practices)
  • Support in departmental communication and teambuilding (i.e. newsletter, quiz night)

Requirements

  • You are a Bachelor or Master student, preferably with a business or communication background
  • You are fluent in English and German, both verbal and in writing
  • You think critically and work solution oriented
  • You are eager to learn and fill knowledge / skill gaps
  • You have strong communication skills, both verbal and in writing
  • You have the ability to view the big picture
  • You are a team player
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • You are able to handle diverse topics at the same time
  • You are customer-oriented
  • You can work independently but at the same time you also align with other colleagues
  • You are interested in Supply Chain Processes
  • Very skilled in MO (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, OneNote)
