The Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center is an international, multicultural organization and an integrated part of Daimler’s Mercedes-Benz Cars Marketing & Sales. In our offices in Maastricht we think and act globally and assume a leading role for the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Centers all over the world.
What is your role?
As an intern in data science, it is your task to provide the CAC with valuable insights from the global data sets which are available. Together with your supervisor, you will start by analysing a business case. This business case will then be translated into a modelling assignment. You will then gather the necessary data and apply your expertise in data science to solve the assignment.
You will demonstrate your ability to understand complex problems, to identify the best approach for analysing your data and to recognise insights which will provide operational value to the CAC. You will be able to communicate your findings through the use of compelling presentations and/or visualisations. A team of experienced IT and BI professionals will be available to assist you in achieving the best possible results.
Who are you?
You have a background in Data Science, Computer Science or Econometrics. You are stil studying in one these areas.
Ofcourse you already have some knowledge of statistical modelling and knowledge of supervised learning. As a person you have a critical attitude and you are curious about data and eager to explore with great problem solving capabilities. To have some knowledge of Business Intelligence tools (e.g. Cognos, Tableau, Qlikview) is a preference for this role.
An internship at Mercedes-Benz will be paid according to the internship regulations within Daimler. You are able to start this internship from February 2019 on. The preferable duration for the internship will be between 4-6 months.
