The Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center (CAC) in Maastricht, Netherlands, is building and driving the luxury experience for our customers. The CAC is running a customer contact center for European Markets; covering customer service requests, questions regarding our Mercedes-App family and retail support. Globally the CAC governs all processes and systems for MB’s customer contact centers in 54 locations.
The IT department provides the required IT ecosystem for all Mercedes-Benz Customer Contact Centers globally - 24/7, 365. We do work closely with our local/regional and global stakeholders in business and IT. A large-scale program was initiated in 2021 to replace the 20-year-old legacy landscape with a state-of-the art process and cloud-based IT ecosystem.
Within the IT department the Information Security Officer:
As a member of the IT management team , the Information Security Officer participates in the definition of the department strategy and ensures its execution is aligned with the local and global IT as well as business-strategy.
What will you do?
1. Coordination and control of information and cyber security issues (35%)
Ensuring compliance with Daimler Global Cyber Security Goals and related key performance indicators. Support of the departmental risk management on IT-relevant topics. Regular, proactive reporting to management level. Implementation of awareness measures and support of global awareness campaigns. Ensuring the implementation of Cyber Security Assessments in compliance with specified processes. Ensuring the necessary documentation for transparency about the cyber security status in the centrally provided systems.
2. Operational support (35%)
Professional cooperation and consulting regarding information security issues of IT Projects. Support in the local/global processing of incidents and vulnerabilities including escalation management. Identification, tracking and elimination of IT security threats, findings and risks. Support in the exception handling process for non-compliance with standards / control procedures. Support of information and application owners.
3. Staff Management (15%)
Full operational steering of the local ISO Staff (Information Security Architect and Application Security Coordinator). Develop career plans for employees based on MB standards such as LEAD and Leadership 20X.
4. Data protection tasks (10%)
Support to the local data protection coordinator.
5. Cyber Security Strategy and processes of change (5%)
Advancement and realization of the IT Security Strategy with adjustments to site-specific particularities and in consideration of business objectives and central targets. Situational monitoring and control of change processes with suitable measures. Further development of regulatory tasks for the active, uniform and efficient coordination of measures, tracking and reporting.
