The organisation

Our home base is the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center (CAC) Maastricht, which is the central point of contact in Europe for After-Sales, caring for the needs of current and prospective Mercedes-Benz customers. Beyond this responsibility, we also steer and further develop the global Customer Contact Centers (CCC) of Mercedes-Benz for After-Sales and Sales.

You will be part of the BICC team, a group of highly motivated professionals with the ambition to become the DATA INTELLIGENCE for all Mercedes-Benz Customer Contact Centers worldwide. The cross-functional team includes Business Intelligence (BI), advanced Business Analytics (BA), Data Science (DS), and data management (Data Steward) all focused on providing the business with information, tools, and technology to deliver the perfect customer value.

The function

As a Business Intelligence Consultant, you ensure that the BI solutions align with the organization's overall business strategy, identify and flag problems, and work closely with various departments within the organization to ensure that the BI solution meets their specific needs. Finally, you consult and advise management in solutions and approaches.

As part of your role, you safeguard the quality of the services and solutions delivered to our users in alignment with process and system requirements coming from the business partners. This will require good understanding of which information is most relevant to our users in line with the requirements provided.

You can expect to be involved in all aspects of the project life-cycle, including Strategy, Road-Mapping, Architecture, and Implementation. Converting and translating “Problem statements” into business requirements with accurate technical specifications will be your daily bread. You will cooperatively determine appropriate solution steps, implement standardized best practices in cooperation with senior specialists, and present your analytics and insights in an easy-to-understand, intuitive manner

Requirements

  • You are an excellent communicator and have data storytelling skills to transport analysis results into tangible stories with visuals that enable the users to gather the most critical information at a glance
  • Experience in project scoping, process design, formal Business Analysis (CBAP) activities, and project management (Agile Scrum preferred)
  • You have a (self-)learning attitude and are always eager to learn
  • You are a critical thinker, you challenge and question stakeholders to maximize business value
  • You have a natural tendency to always think about what business value you are creating with your work
  • You have a high enthusiasm, intuition, and curious nature
  • You can work in an agile and fast-changing environment
  • Degree in Computer Science, Business, Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field required
  • Minimum of 3 years of Business Analysis, Systems Analysis, and/or Analytical experience.
  • Experiences in working with Enterprise BI, Power BI, SQL, Snowflake, or other Data Warehouse environments, specifically in design, modification, and business reporting automation
  • Experience using Microsoft Office Suite
