The organisation

We are the Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center Maastricht. We belong to the Mercedes-Benz Global Customer Service & Parts division and collaborate closely with other departments and divisions to create the best customer journey.

The function

The Business Analyst is part of the BICC team. The BAs are responsible to turn data into valuable insights and actionable actions, in order to optimize our businesses (e.g. processes, systems, data quality).

The task of the BICC department is to provide transparency to the organization with regards to the performance and quality of our contact centers, agents, dealers, MOC’s vehicles and processes as well as the satisfaction of our customers with these products and services. The BICC team consists of: Business Intelligence, Business Analytics, Data Science, and Data Stewardship.

Your role:

  • Data Analysis and Reporting:
    • Collect, clean, and analyze large datasets to identify trends, ROI, patterns, and insights.
    • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate key metrics and performance indicators.
    • Perform ad-hoc analysis and generate reports to support business operations and strategy.
    • Propose and confirm CRM process and system improvements based on facts and figures.

  • Business Intelligence Development:
    • Design, develop, and implement BI solutions using tools such as PowerBI, or similar.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical specifications.
    • Ensure data accuracy, consistency, and reliability across all BI solutions.

  • Data Management:
    • Maintain and optimize data storage solutions, ensuring data security and privacy compliance.
    • Implement data quality controls and perform regular data audits to ensure reliability of the existing measures and PIs.
    • Work with IT and data engineers to troubleshoot and resolve data-related issues (accuracy, reliability, timely).

  • Stakeholder Collaboration:
    • Partner with business units to identify opportunities for leveraging data to drive business solutions.
    • Present findings and insights to stakeholders at various levels of the organization.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled, motivated, ambitious professional to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of data analysis techniques, and the ability to transform data into actionable insights. This role will support decision-making processes by providing critical data insights and developing robust BI solutions.

Who are you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Statistics, Information Systems, or a related field. A master’s degree is a plus.
  • Proven experience (3+ years) as a Data Analyst, Business Analyst, or similar role.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and visualization tools such as SQL, Python, R, Power BI, etc.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex findings in a clear and concise manner to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with data modeling techniques.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to data accuracy and integrity.
  • Proactive and innovative mindset.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of key business processes.

  • The salary range for a full-time position (40 hours) is between €4300 and 5500 gross per month depending on experience
