Our organization is seeking a highly motivated, skilled and experienced Research Technician in the field of molecular biology and cell culture. You play a vital role in our research team by ensuring accurate and efficient laboratory operations, optimizing and conducting experiments, and contributing to the advancement of scientific knowledge.
We are looking for an enthusiastic Research Technician with >2 years of proven experience in performing various laboratory techniques related to molecular biology and cell culture, including DNA/RNA extraction, PCR, cloning, transfection, cell line maintenance, western-blot, and cell-based assays.
We expect the candidate to be highly self-motivated, and to collaborate effectively with team members. The candidate is well organized, provides assistance to researchers in different in vitro and ex vivo projects, and takes responsibility for control and safety in laboratories. Demonstrates independent thinking and assertiveness in pursuing research objectives, contributes to a positive and cohesive work environment, is willing to learn and implement new techniques and have an excellent command of the English language. Knowledge and certificate to work with GMOs are required. Experience with, histology and microscopy would be assets.

Furthermore, the ideal candidate should be able to work independently in the laboratory in the techniques described above, and must be able and willing to implement and learn new techniques. Part of the position entails laboratory management tasks. Excellent knowledge of scientific English for speaking, reading, and writing are required. Knowledge of Dutch is not necessarily required.
We offer a 1,0 fte fixed-term contract with possibility of a permanent contract after receiving a positive evaluation after one year.
Gross salary will depend on your level of education and relevant experience. The maximum gross monthly salary is € 3,764 in accordance with scale 8 CLA NU (with full-time appointment). An 8% holiday and an 8.3% year-end allowance is also provided.
