As a laboratory technician at the M4i, you assist in lab management and are responsible for performing a variety of analyzes. Various techniques are used for this, (predominantly) mass spectrometry based techniques like MSI and LC-MS including sample preparation. All tests are performed in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practices / Good Laboratory Practices. In addition, you are responsible for checking data and timely reporting of test results. You take care of accurate administration, so that retrieving data in the context of quality assurance is easy. In consultation, it is examined whether additional tasks or participation in projects is possible.
The ideal candidate is talented and self-motivated and should hold at least a relevant HBO education and has both excellent laboratory skills and an interest in technology development fundamental science and its biological applications.
The candidate can communicate well in English, is capable of working in a multidisciplinary team and motivated to work in an international environment. The candidate should possess outstanding technical interests and skills and has an open, innovative attitude.

Maastricht Multimodal Molecular Imaging institute (M4I)
Maastricht Multimodal Molecular Imaging institute (M4I) is an open research platform collaborating with internal research groups of the University of Maastricht and external scientists from other universities, research centres or private companies. The facility provides a full MS infrastructure for the analysis of drugs, metabolites, lipids, peptides, proteins and glycans using mass spectrometry imaging as well as liquid based mass spectrometry.
