We are looking for a Junior Student counsellor (0.8/1fte) to join our team.
As a Junior Student Counsellor, you will work with students of the Bachelor programmes in Data Science and Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science, and the Master programmes in Artificial Intelligence and Data Science for Decision Making. Additional programmes may become part of your portfolio as our Department grows.
You will be part of the team of student counsellors dedicated to the students of the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences. Within this team, you will support and guide students on both personal and academic matters and help them to reach their full potential. Additionally, one of your main tasks will be to organize the Peer Mentor Program for the academic year 2024-2025. This encompasses tasks such as recruitment, managing administrative duties and ensuring smooth communication between staff members, peer mentors, and students.

Department of Advanced Computing Sciences
The Department of Advanced Computing Sciences is Maastricht University’s largest and oldest department broadly covering the fields of artificial intelligence, data science, computer science, mathematics and robotics.
Over 100 researchers work and study in the Department of Advanced Computing Sciences, whose roots trace back to 1987. The department’s staff teaches more than 1,200 bachelor’s and master’s students in 4 specialized study programmes in Data Science, Artificial Intelligence and Computer Science.
