Working in two departments (Enrollment and Communications), the job covers a wide variety of tasks, ranging from administrative, back-office tasks and team-support, to writing articles and creating social media content, to the recruitment of students to join our Master programmes. Flexibility, detail-oriented, creative thinking and communication skills are essential for this position.

Job description

Tasks for this function will be divided between the two departments, which work closely together. Tasks include (but are not exhaustive):

• Marketing-Communications Support (MSM Website updates, newsletters, articles, mailing campaigns , updating brochures and flyers, etc)
• Recruitment Support (student & alumni ambassador management, importing leads from various channels, answering of recruitment and admissions related e-mails, updating templates)
• Events Management (Logistics and shipping preparation, Event promotion, Representation at events (both local, and potentially abroad, Banners updates, Photography)
• Social Media Support and Management (monitoring and handling of social media channels, managing FB community pages, creation of social media organic posts and specials)
• Administration Tasks (Interview scheduling, Keeping CRM data clean, Updating of alumni database (support), Registration of students in CRM system SAP, Updating of Online Education Platforms, welcome packages and merchandise management)
• Other (CV Book Project, Supporting the Enrollment and Communications teams on various daily tasks and projects)

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate who wants to contribute in the field of recruitment and communications, who enjoys working in a multi-cultural environment, meeting people, thinking creatively and working in a team, as well doing the back-office (admin) work in a detail-oriented way. • Education: communications or (online) marketing related field
• Work experience: 0-4 years max
• Social media, Pro is an affinity with video making/editing and SEA
• CMS and CRM
• Organization, communication, writing, administrative skills
• Sales and customer-oriented
• Fluent in English, Dutch is a plus.
• Team player, cultural awareness, service-oriented
• Self-starter/fast learner, pro-active, flexible/hands-on mentality
• Creative but with attention to detail

Conditions of employment

•   1.0 fte employment. The position of Junior Enrollment-Communications Officer is in the salary scale 7, as a Communications Officer 3 (according to the UM UFO classification), ranging between 2471 € and 3336 € gross per month based on full-time employment. Salary will be based on relevant education combined with relevant work experience;
•   In addition to the salary, we offer an 8% holiday allowance and an 8.3% end-of-year bonus;
•   232 vacation hours per year for full-time employment and the possibility of expanding this slightly and additional holidays;
•   ABP pension;
•   Work life balance;
•   Maastricht University offers training possibilities and professional courses;
•   Temporary contract for one year; contract can be made permanent based on good performance after this period.
