?The Office of Student Affairs of the Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences (FASoS) is recruiting a third executive secretary to join the team of the Servicedesk of the Board of Examiners (BoE). Next to the Servicedesk, the BoE is supported by a secretary dealing with organizational, policy and exam related issues.
The executive secretaries of the Servicedesk Board of Examiners interact with a variety of stakeholders, particularly students, teaching staff and colleagues from support staff. The Servicedesk is mandated by the BoE to decide upon individual student requests based on the applicable regulations following from the Education and Examination Regulations and the Rules and Regulations. On top of handling individual student’s requests, the Servicedesk supports the vice-chair in plagiarism cases and advises on administrative processes, such as the feasibility of (new) regulations and administrative procedures regarding education.

You have affinity with BoE tasks and a collegial attitude. You have attention to detail, combine a clear analysis with organisational qualities and a practical attitude to resolve issues. Your social and communication skills are excellent. You ensure careful processing of student requests and are committed to drawing up considered and well-founded decisions and advice. You are able to interpret and apply all faculty and UM regulations and communicate clearly and respectfully while interacting with students and colleagues, such as academic and support staff.

The Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences FASoS is a close-knit community of approximately 250 staff members and 2100 students. During breaks and before meetings, you can often find us at our favourite local coffee spot Bandito Espresso.

FASoS consists of a highly international student population and a significant part of our staff comes from abroad.
