Do you find digital tools (including AI and LLM tools) and being able to use them well, interesting and important for students, teachers and researchers? Are you an expert in giving didactic advice on the use of these tools in education and do you have experience with them yourself? Then read on quickly because this vacancy is probably something for you!
One of the important tasks of the University Library (UB) is to train students in searching, finding and critically assessing (digital) scholarly information. Partly because of the rise of AI (including Large Language Models (LLM) such as ChatGPT), digital information skills to be able to find, critically assess and communicate with the right information are becoming increasingly important for students, lecturers and researchers. In this position, you will provide didactic advice on and, together with your teammates, develop "digital literacy and labs", training courses and workshops around digital creation, technology and communication for students. Based on your expertise, you will help to further develop our digital labs and multimedia facilities (including makerspace, video and podcast studio and VR/XR facilities) and also draw up guidelines and policies for the responsible use of these tools and facilities. You give didactic advice on how to create a podcast or a video clip and know how best to use them in teaching or research. In addition to your teammates, you also work closely with colleagues from faculty labs and the CTL (Centre for Teaching & Learning) to ensure the best possible match between the offerings. You keep up with new developments and are able to translate these into our services and user requirements.
We are looking for you if you want to contribute to services for our students, teachers and researchers. You establish contacts easily, are sensitive to the environment and committed to the needs of our customers. You have good teamwork skills, a practical attitude and strong communication skills. You are good at planning and organising and you are result-oriented. You are good at putting your ideas into practice and are able to enthuse and motivate a group.
