BRANCH SERVICE MANAGER

Supervising the Field Service office based team

OVERVIEW

The Branch Service Manager is an integral member of the after-sales support team responsible for the coordination of customer needs and operational requirements of the department. This position will supervise the Field Service Technicians as well as the office based administrative team. Reporting to the Group Service Director the Service Manager shall handle all administrative responsibilities, personnel responsibilities to ensure a safe and productive environment. This position will involve direct liaison between customers and technicians also collaborating with all departments within the Group.

CORE DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the office and warehouse facility and the off site technicians.
  • Assign, supervise and review the duties, responsibilities, and workload of the department team.
  • Manage payroll timecard accuracy and HR related responsibilites.
  • Liaise across the group with resource scheduling to ensure most efficient execution of work activity.
  • Attend remote and in-person meetings with clients.
  • In English, prepare and present reports to senior management both verbal and written.
  • Manage recruitment and when necessary disciplinary actions.
  • Track costs, wastes, and other budgetary elements of the department and create costing reports as required.
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and coaching to the team.
  • Promote and facilitate appropriate training to ensure quality and delivarable services.
  • When required review and interpret contracts for technical and commercial content, accuracy, and required regulations.
  • Maintain the highest engineering and ethical standards.
  • All other duties as reasonably assigned.

EDUCATION/KNOWLEDGE

  • Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline is required.
  • At least 4 years or more of management experience in an appropriate discipline is required.
  • Ability to read, analyze, review and interpret hydraulical, mechanical, electrical and other drawings documents, regulations and journals is required.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is required.
  • Experience with business and inventory management systems is required.

  • Ability to motivate, develop, and direct people as they work.
  • Highly organized with good time management skills.
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize to meet tight deadlines.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills with strong proof-reading/editing capabilities.
  • Positive, inquisitive, proactive, and collaborative attitude with the ability to work well with all Company employees, customers, vendors, suppliers, and the public.
  • Maintain professional internal and external relationships that meet the company core values.
  • Build trust, communicate effectively, foster innovation, focus on the customer and solve problems creatively and demonstrate high integrity.
  • Must be available for international travel including passport and driving license.
