Job description

For the Kerkrade region, we are looking for a Quality Control Manager who has a keen eye for detail and ensures that QC processes run smoothly. It is important that products are consistently of high quality and meet strict quality and performance standards. Production takes place abroad, but full quality control, including product calibration, is carried out on location.

In the role of Quality Control Manager, you will be responsible for coordinating between customers, the sales team, management and the production team. You will manage about 20 employees. Besides quality control tasks, you will also be involved in business management and human resources. Success in this role requires excellent communication and listening skills, as well as sharp observation, analytical skills and coordination skills. You must be aware of compliance with laws and regulations and understand technical data.

Some of your main activities:

• You develop, improve and review new specifications and procedures for products or processes and train staff in their application.
• You supervise and guide technicians and staff in their work.
• You ensure compliance with legal obligations and regulatory, health and safety guidelines.
• You approve or reject products depending on quality standards.
• You maintain accurate documentation and perform statistical analysis to improve production processes and product quality.
• You understand customer needs and requirements and communicate these needs and quality standards to production teams.

Requirements

• You have experience in production or manufacturing.
• You have strong attention to detail, observation, organisational and leadership skills.
• You have thorough knowledge of quality control procedures and regulatory standards.
• You have strong knowledge of mathematics, data analysis and statistical methods.
• You have excellent communication skills and good listening skills.
• You have good technical and IT skills.
• Experience in event and lighting engineering may be a plus, as well as experience in business administration.
