Do you want to experience Silicon Valley without the need to move and make a difference as a senior software engineer? Eargo is a Silicon Valley headquartered company that develops hearing wellness solutions of the future and is looking for a Senior Software Engineer for the Maastricht office, who will play a crucial role in the development of software for medical devices for hearing tests/assessments.
Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop new software solutions while improving and maintaining existing software
- Decipher and solve technical challenges with a highly talented (international) team
- Develop on the hearing assessment software roadmap and execute on the deadlines
- Maintain in-depth technical knowledge, application requirements and technology trends
- Full administration related to the job
- Work closely together with team leaders, the business and development team
Education & Experience
- At least 7-8 years of relevant experience is required, preferably start-up experience
- Minimum education: - Completed Bachelor’s degree or Master’s degree at university OR - HBO / university of applied sciences in informatics / mathematics or a relevanttechnical topic
- Experience with C# (.NET /.NET Core) is crucial
- Experience with Microsoft Azure, Javascript, JQuery, HTML and SQL is preferred, AWS experience is a plus
- Experience with health care and/or audio applications is a huge plus, but not mandatory
- Familiarity with regulatory and privacy related topics is a plus (such as Medical Device Directive, AVG/HIPAA, Quality Assurance, ISO norms, et cetera)
- Experience with big data sets and/or machine learning is a plus
- Mobile development experience is a plus
- Software integration experience is a plus
Skills & Personality
- Excellent oral, written and technical communication skills
- Ability to bridge the (language) gap between the business and the developers
- Must be fluent in English (both written and spoken)
- Being fluent in Dutch (both written and spoken) is a plus
- Proven analytical problem-solving skills
- Ability to be responsible and accountable for development roadmap execution
- Must be a team player and motivational towards team members
- High flexibility and go-getter
- Naturally calm and patient
- Have high energy and passion towards building highly innovative technology
- Great interpersonal skills are required to work efficiently and effectively with co-workers
- Be able to use reason and logic to identify solutions
- Willing to commute to the beautiful and vibrant university city of Maastricht
